Before you even touch an ounce of code, create a web design mockup.

As you are working with a client, make sure that you create at least two mockups of what the site is supposed to look like. If you can provide this to them, this will achieve two things:

  • A blueprint for you to start piecing together a site.
  • Give the client an option of what they like about one site compared to the other sites (mockups) you are presenting them.

The undersigned shows the web designing workflow of what the designer is going through when you are presenting a mockup to a user.

It seems clients are requesting quite a lot lately and I've lost my hard drive.

This week has been hectic for me. I'm writing this on a different PC than the one at home. It seems my hard drive in my PC decided to go south on me. When (If) I can receover, I will get back to blogging tomorrow (Saturday).

Fireday will be postponed for today, but return tomorrow (provided I get my hard drive back).
