Possible Solution to "Web Noise" with Social Bookmarking

Make them invisible until you need them.
After reading through the post on Web-Graphics' site about web noise on pages and the social bookmark service icons cluttering the bottom of screens, I wanted to add my part in making social bookmarking less obstrusive on content pages.
Since my site was begging for more features, I added a "post tools" section. It looks like this:

The link will toggle a pulldown, thanks to script.aculo.us. When you click on the Social Bookmark link, it displays an unordered list of social bookmarks.

Click the link again to make it disppear.
Now...Is this a better way of handling all of those social links? I don't know. You tell me.
