Make them invisible until you need them.

After reading through the post on Web-Graphics' site about web noise on pages and the social bookmark service icons cluttering the bottom of screens, I wanted to add my part in making social bookmarking less obstrusive on content pages.

Since my site was begging for more features, I added a "post tools" section. It looks like this:

Post Tools Section

The link will toggle a pulldown, thanks to script.aculo.us. When you click on the Social Bookmark link, it displays an unordered list of social bookmarks.

Post Tools Section After the click

Click the link again to make it disppear.

Now...Is this a better way of handling all of those social links? I don't know. You tell me.

Thanks Eric, but I intentionally did that instead of the DIV pushing it down. :-)
