Joga.com Soccer Companion

The Joga companion Firefox extension is a collaborative effort between Google and NikeFootball for those die-hard soccer fans who want to know what's going on with the World Cup.

When you install the extension, it provides a sidebar of three tabs at the top: Main, Video, and Community. The main window shows all of the activity and detail of the games and where they placed. Double-click on one of the games to display a pop-up showing the details of the game. Below the scores are the news headings/press releases from the games.

The Video tab, naturally, uses Google video, but to show footage of Joga commercials instead of game footage. The video I was impressed with was the Ronaldo vs. Zlatan. :-)

The Community tab involves users forming teams and discussing certain aspects of the game or how their team is or isn't winning.

As I said above, soccer fans will love this extension. If you are a soccer fan and use this extension, drop me a line telling me if you like it or not. I was hoping to see some excellent footage of some games, but just found soccer commercials from Joga.
