This week: The RSS Validator, Image Zoom, and the Unofficial MySpace Toolbar.
RSS Validator
When you create your RSS feed for your users, you analyze the feed to confirm that everything works and its proper RSS...or so you think.
Thats where the RSS Validator extension comes in. The extension takes an existing RSS feed displayed on the screen and validates it against the W3C RSS Validator.
Click on a sample RSS Feed and display the RSS in Firefox. Right-click to get the context menu and select Validate RSS. The extension will take the current URL and validate it at the W3C site, immediately reporting on what was right or wrong with the RSS.
The extension is very basic and extends the developers validity checks against the W3C standards, which, in my book, is a great help.

Image Zoom
Most images we look at are setup as thumbnails, but you can't see them as well. Image Zoom is an extension that does exactly what it says, but there are a couple other features that stand out.
Some of the features included in the Image Zoom are:
- RMB+scroll zooming (Right mouse button + mouse wheel zooming)
- Page Zooming
- Reset Image Size
- Custom Zoom
- Custom Dimensions
- Fit Image to Screen
- Zoom to Preset Values directly from menu
- Option to Change Zoom In/Out Factor
- Options to hide/show each menu item
- Show items in main context or a Zoom Image sub menu
- Locales cs-CZ, de-DE, en-US, es-AR, es-ES, fr-FR, hu-HU, it-IT, ja-JP, ko-KR, sl-SI, tr-TR, zh-TW
When the extension is installed, right-click on an image and the context menu shows additional image options. It installed without a hitch and seems pretty solid. Its been in my extension collection for a while.
Excellent extension.

Unofficial MySpace extension
With all the hype about MySpace lately, there had to be an extension out there for MySpace regulars and sure enough.
The (Unofficial) MySpace Toolbar Firefox extension allows all of the functions of the MySpace web site accessible from the toolbar created by the extension.
One of the features of the extension includes an Auto Login, where you don't ever need to type in your user name/password combo ever again.
Another feature is the quick access to the toolbar from the status bar. It hides the toolbar with the click of the 'm' at the bottom of the status bar.
As much as I get into MySpace.com, I've installed the extension and noticed that I'm starting to use it more. :-)
For those who are constantly in MySpace.com, this Firefox extension will definitely come in handy.
