This week: CustomizeGoogle, SEO for Firefox, and Pickup photo uploader.
What a week! Where did the time go? Oh yeah, it was a holiday...nevermind.
Quite a solid list of extensions this week. These are three out-of-the-park extensions.
CustomizeGoogle
We all know and love Google, but there are some things that we can do without (Sorry, Google). This is where the CustomizeGoogle Firefox extension comes into play.
Install the extension and open your extensions options (Tools/Extensions and double-click the CustomizeGoogle extension).

The extension provides a lot of options for the search engine, such as remove those pesky ads, use Google Suggest when typing in searches, and even adds additional links depending on what you search for (i.e. weather, movies, news, etc.).
Each tab has an option for removing AdSense ads from the results returned. As you can see across the top, the extension is applied to all things Google and can be applied to all or none of the sites. It is nice to have these options available, but you may prefer to leave them unchecked.
Another kudo to the author is the option of showing how to install and use the extension. For beginners, you have the option of a Flash movie, an animated GIF, or a Windows Media movie. Catchy jingle on the Flash movie, too.
Overall, its a good enhancement to Google...just because its not "evil." :-)

SEO for Firefox
Just released this week, SEO for Firefox is more than an extension, it's a Internet marketing miracle.
The author of SEOBook, Aaron Wall, created this extension to provide a site's "GoogleJuice" with PageRank and other metrics and various linking strategies.
The Firefox extension also displays Google Trends, keyword popularity, and more. The "more" is the part thats difficult to review because there is sooo much that can come out of this extension.
The following is integrated into the extension:
- PageRank
- Age of site
- Technorati
- Del.icio.us
- Various Yahoo! Domain links
- Alexa
- DMOZ listings
- Yahoo! listings
- Bloglines subscribers
- WHOIS Link
Once you understand everything that this extension offers to users in the Internet marketing field, you'll see this extension is worth a gold medal.
I've been using this Firefox extension since July 4th, 2006, and it definitely gets my seal of approval.

Pickup
Pickup is an extension geared towards uploading photos to Flickr, Marela, 23, or SmugMug from your browser.
According to the site, some of the features of the extension include a multiple picture upload (really cool), Drag and drop from your system file manager, tag pictures individually or in batches, add photos to an album, and display how much space is used.
The extension worked flawlessly when I uploaded my pics to Flickr. If you have a batch of pictures, this extension will work wonders for you. It installed without a hitch and the extension is located under the Commands pulldown as Pickup. Pretty simple.
If you know a lot of pic-heads who use a photo site extensively or know of a beginner looking to get into photography, Pickup will definitely take you where you need to be.
