Firefox and IE Tip: Mouse Scroll to make your text larger

Quick tip to make your text larger on the screen without any of the fancy "make my text bigger" JavaScript.

For those who incorporate a small, medium, large JavaScript technique on their site, you only have a limited number of choices on the screen.

To make the text on your site bigger, hold down the CTRL key and use the middle mouse (scroller) to scroll...slowly!

The more users that know about this tip, the less JavaScript we need to include in our web sites.

There are two advantages to using this tip as opposed to the JavaScript "change font" script. The obvious is that you don't need the JavaScript for the custom font sizes for your users.

The second advantage is for the designers and developers. If your site is created properly, this technique allows you to test your site and view any layout issues or problems.

The downside is informing enough users now that we don't need the JavaScript "change font" routine. :-)

Hope this helped. L8R.
