If you're receiving an error in Firefox, where do you go for assistance? Mozilla Knowledge Base!
I'm sure everyone has a problem with Firefox crashing once in a while. Hey, it's not perfect, but it's pretty close. :-)
The whole idea behind Firefox is that you have a community who help one another to make the open source browser the best that it can be.
Now, I love Firefox. Really, I do. Heck, my site is turning into a Firefox-driven site.
But recently, there is this one error that keeps bothering me. I close Firefox and I think it shutdown until I restart my PC. I notice that a process doesn't stop and a dialog box is displayed saying a process could not shutdown: XPCOM Event Receiver. I press "End Now," but it still doesn't end the process so I can restart my machine the correct way.
Now, I've looked around at numerous locations for the answer (here, here, and here), but it occurred to me that not many power users know where to go to solve their Firefox problems. BTW, I'll let you know what solves my problem in a future post.
Then I happened upon the Mozilla Knowledge Base. I didn't even know they had this available. I'm sure its been there for a while, but to be honest, I've never seen it.
Hope this helps individuals solve their Firefox crash and burns.
