Here is a list of Firefox extensions that answers a reader's email about optimizing web page load times.

Turtle

I recently received an email asking me how to display the load time of web pages in Firefox similar to what Opera displays.

After reading the email, I decided to dig a little into the Firefox add-ons to locate the extensions that assist web designers in optimizing their web sites.

Here's what I found:

YSlow (Review) - YSlow attachs to the Firebug extension and provides a graph of how fast your pages load into the browser.

Extended Statusbar - This is probably the closest you will get to the Opera statusbar in Firefox. The extension displays how many images are on the page, bytes downloads, average download speed, the load time, and the percentage of the page loaded.

Load Time Analyzer - Google's own Load Time Analyzer provides a toolbar at the top with the number of events and the amount of time it took for the web page to load. A graph button is available to chart the progress of each file downloaded to your browser.

Have I missed any other optimization extensions for Firefox?
